Peggy story goes back to first grade. For Peggy reading or writing was like a science fiction movie. Her eyes would see things that were not there. It would take hours or days to recognize something was missing or added making the words very different. It all started from switching the hand writing in first grade from left to right. Who would have thought that would cause such controversy. One example as going to the University of Arkansas she read a sign that said aluminum. She figured it was a recycling place on campus but the real word was alumni. It took six months to read it correctly. Another example she read from an envelop stating Mutual of Omaha but instead she read the word as Obama. Maybe this is a case of dyslexia not diagnosed in 1963. It was hard for her to get through junior English. Reading had to be fun not a chore. It was more enticing to have pictures that involved art. Later she stumbled on this idea "Pawtwotea" rewriting a story told on a car trip. The name was long and catchy like Pocahontas. She wanted to help other readers who had difficulties.
Peggy has a BSE degree and taught PE and adaptive PE. She tutored reading. In her club she had to make the kids laugh, play a game and make art. She explored many avenues. Testing was not the goal she had the students make their own test and answers. Everyone can learn from mistakes and laughing about it. The new technology sharing the marble sculptures stories is tantalizing. See even that word has an ant. The puzzle of finding all the ant words is amusing by any standard. The Adventure of Sweet Pawtwotea is for sale on Amazon Kindle book or regular book.

Chapter 1
Queen Antsy the Horned Toad
Killer
Queen Antsy was a great warrior ant. She was a giant ant. Her husband was Grant. He was the biggest and strongest ant. One day at the anthill the ants started to go
missing. Queen Antsy
heard of a story about this large lizard that could eat hundreds of ants. She asked her husband,
“Who wants to find this
monster. “ I can’t said
Grant, I have to take
care of the boys Hanta
and Rant and teach them
how to fight.” The queen knew she would have leave the farm tunnels and go up
top, but first she had to put on her pants. Everyone had to have fancy leaf clothes on before going out
on the anthill it was
the rule no naked ants
outside the anthill.
She went outside and saw the big horn toad lizard taking off with some of her
baby ant soldiers.
She looked for Grant and
found him in the panty
with Hanta and Rant eating candy jelly. The
candy was her special treat, but she had a soft spot for her husband and let
him get away with eating some sugar. We have to go to war. I will hide my ant troops behind plants and kill the lizard called
Tanta. Many soldiers
went up top with Queen Antsy
and Grant. The first
troop chanted as they
came out of the anthill.
Their antennas whistled
in the wind, “help me.” The monster lizard Tanta licked them up as cantaloupe seeds. Then the second troop frantically came out and
yelled “charge.” They threw antacid
at the monster which instantly
bounced off his hard armor. The lizard roared I am “Santo, Canto, Tanta you dumb brain ants.” The lizard then zapped
his tongue as a sword and made the letter M. He ate ants like M&M’s. Queen Antsy came out with the third troop and began to play her hairy
legs. The music was the Star Spangle anthem. The horn toad stopped and stared then put his hand over
his heart as the pledge in school. Antsy gave the tyrant
a kick right between the eyes. The ants soldiers cheered then helped her shove Tanto off the cliff. The horn
toad Tanta cried as an infant. A distant big bang was heard
way down the canyon.
The ant colony had an elegant party after the win.
The phantom was dead
maybe! The queen was a dominate
ant alongside her
husband Grant. They
served everyone on the island abundant
quantities of food including the elephants and antelopes. The ants danced and gave thanks to their dead soldiers.
Meantime, Grant gave his beloved a kiss
and put the baby ants
on his back for piggy back rides. The giant ants
were important to the
island and lived in volcano tubes. They were a big family that worked hard together.
The queen was the most brilliant.
She ate many magic jelly beans which made her the smartest ant. Queens live the
longest and had he most important
duty to get pregnant
and have many baby ants.
The queen
daughter was born soon after the battle her name was Pleasant. Pleasant’s dad Grant taught Pleasant instant moves to fight and win. His anthology on fighting went back to Atlantis. He taught her the advantage of hitting ants on their blind side
with the back legs and then rolling the ants with the front legs. The infantry ants only learned how to
punch, bite and tumble. Pleasant
was a mean ant not
that tolerant or easy
going. The Smoking Mountain volcano was about to blow lava. Ants scattered and ran.
All the servant ants were frantic and went to get the
babies and take them away from the lava. Many ants were trapped and started to burn. Grant swam out to save them
and gave them piggy back rides. He was the queen’s most reliant ant and would do anything to save the colony. He
was badly burned and the queen held him in her arms. He chanted his last words, “long live the queen,”
then he died. Antsy was
broken hearted and died a year later leaving her daughter in charge of the
colony.
